Crisis, What Crisis? debat

Does the answer to the worldwide crisis lie in Africa?
Views on Economic Progress
Are we capable of thinking outside the capitalistic system? The worldwide political agenda is currently dominated by the credit crisis; we are in panic because our banks are going bankrupt. Politicians and economists are falling over one another about the question of guilt, and the most frequent answer so far has been: even more money. From which only a small section of the world’s population has profited until now. The overwhelming majority of the population faces growing unemployment and insufficient education and healthcare.
It is high time for a radical change in our ways of thinking and doing things. In this regard, other countries can be a source of lessons and inspiration. The African continent is expert in dealing with crises. For decades, the continent has been afflicted by crashing banks, unfair competition and unpayable debts to the West. Yet despite these economic abuses, examples of justice can be found in the running of businesses and distribution of money, albeit on a small scale. Might we be able to learn something from Africa, from its mistakes and its solutions?
With a panel of politicians, bankers, journalists and writers.
