In this Afro-American documentary, the white North American De Wolf family are horrified to discover their own past. They owe their wealth to the slave trade. The film touchingly and sincerely shows their desperation as they journey to Ghana, where they witness the commemoration ceremonies of the descendents of slaves, to Cuba, where a plantation of their ancestors is located, and at home, in conversation with African-Americans.
