The 48-year-old Simohamed works as a parking guard. His 17-year-old son Ayoub wants to be a famous Hollywood actor. When Ayoub's dreams of going to America are dashed, he turns to music and forms a hip hop group with his father. The duo sets out to meet their heroes, enter studios and radio stations for the first time in an adventure through the music industry of Casablanca.

Michelle Medina is a filmmaker and writer in Casablanca, Morocco. She was born in Miami in 1984 and was raised in Japan. Medina graduated with honours from Smith College Northampton (US) in 2005.
