SKIN is the true story of Sandra Laing, born with dark skin from two white South African parents during the apartheid regime. Despite a loving upbringing as a ‘white’ child, Sandra is kicked out of a white private school and ‘reclassified’ as coloured by city officials. Her father successfully fights this but when she later falls in love with a black man, as a white woman, a rift in the family is inevitable.
