Determined to shift their reputation as a community of rapists, drug dealers and lost causes, twelve ordinary guys from Atlantis, near Cape Town, decide to take a stand. Will their efforts change anything at all?

South African filmmaker Jo Higgs started her career as a journalist, editor, producer and director for international television networks including Reuters, NBC, BBC and the UN Television Network. Men From Atlantis is her first long form documentary.
