Hussey is an elderly popular singer who in the 1970s had the power to influence her young fans to leave Niger to seek fortune in the countries of West Africa. The director, to convince his father who had left for Abidjan fifteen years earlier to return, asks Hussey to compose a new song and sets off with him to Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Sani El Hadj Magori is an documentary maker from Birni N’Konni in Niger. After an agronomical study he went to study cinema and documentary at the Gaston Berger university in St. Louis, Senegal.
