1969, South Africa. Imam Abdullah Haron was detained, tortured and killed in prison.
Sifting through the myths and stories that surround him, director Khalid Shamis seeks a grandfather beyond martyrdom, earthquakes, community passivity and chocolate biscuits.

Khalid Shamis is a trained director in the UK, currently living and working in Johannesburg at WITS University teaching Script and Post-production. Last year AITP showed his short animation film THE KILLING OF THE IMAM, also about his grandfather, the legendary Imam Abdullah Haron.
