Congo 2008

A portrait about four women boxers in Congo, with the excitement of the first free elections in the air. They fight every day in the old Tata Rafael stadium with their coach Judex. Thousands of people from the ghettos come here to train. While the presidential candidates are fighting for power, Judex is fighting for a boxing tournament between four women. A documentary full of energy and humor about women in a land where the men have gone crazy.

Florent de la Tullaye and Renaud Barret have been directing films and producing musical talent in Kinshasa since 2003. The duo directed JUPITER'S DANCE. They are currently working on two records and editing a documentary about an orchestra of handicapped people.
