A musical voyage through the history of popular Angolan music. The film takes us from greats of the 1940s - Liceu Vieira Dias and Ngola Ritmos – to the musicians of today, with Angolan political history as a backdrop.
Jorge António lived for many years in Luanda, where he produced more than 50 films in and about Angola. THE FUNERAL was distinguished as Best 1st Film at the Algarve Film Festival and António was designated as best director by MOON’S VIEW POINT at the Gramado Film Festival in Brazil.
