A documentary that tells the story of Nabila Djahnine’s death: the filmmaker’s sister and president of the Algerian Bond Thighri N'tmettouth - Women in Protest. Nabila was murdered in Tizi-Ouzou, 100 kilometers from Algiers. Ten years later, Habiba returns there to investigate what happened and to see what has become of the people of Tizi-Ouzou. But above all, she is trying to find out why murder was the only solution in the conflict that divided Algeria. Why was dialogue impossible?

Habiba Djahnine was born in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, and is a writer, essayist and documentary filmmaker. At the moment, Habiba Djahnine shares her life between France and Algeria. LETTRE A MA SOEUR is her first feature film.
