Director: Mauro Didier & Thuy-Thien Ho
Docu, 52 min

Burkina Faso: gunshots are heard in the night of October 15, 1987. The ‘President of the Poor’ Thomas Sankara meets his death. FRATRICIDE AU BURKINA is a lively documentary that explores the years before his death. The directors hope to obtain answers to important questions – such as France’s role in the assassination. Thomas Sankara is still an example for young people in his country who regard him as greater than his country. Through them his ideas and vision live on.

Ho Thuy-Thien has been making documentaries since 1980. She studied film in Paris and then worked in Africa, Asia, South America and Central America.
Didier Mauro teaches at the French Institut National de l'Audiovisuel, has been making documentaries for years and is now developing a theory about the form which he is promoting.
