Uganda 2007

Four young friends from different regions of Uganda are trying to make it as musicians in Kampala, the capital. The unwritten rules from the different communities in the city, the `divizionz´, can, however, bring unsuspecting newcomers to dead end paths. The friendships become sharply tested when individual success takes over. DIVIZIONZ is a film in which drama in the slums is not ensconced in guns but in personal rivalries.

YES, THAT’S US! is a Ugandan film collective. Donald Mugisha is one of the founders. His earlier films are, among others, THE WRATH, MANKA and 610, for which he won a Golden Impala at the 2006 Kampala Film Festival.
