Opposites attract. This is what two Afro-American New York students discover in this gay romance. Keith and Nathan meet in a coffee house in Harlem and get into a discussion about the earnings from hip hop or lack thereof. Curiosity for each other is sparked and they head off to the countryside in Nathan’s car. Despite their differences in opinion and their bickering, admiration and love starts to grow between them. A refreshing urban film about self-discovery and young love.
Filmmaker Shannon-Butts studied Film and Television Production at Chapman University. In 2004, he received the Plant-a-Seed Emerging Filmmaker Award from Reel Affirmations for his short film BENEATH THE SURFACE (2004). BLUEPRINT is his first feature film, for which he received a Jerome Foundation grant.
