The Road to Obama

This is a historical moment in world history now that an Afro-American president can enter the White House for the first time! This is why a party evening is being organized in cooperation with Democrats Abroad Netherlands, with lots of election films, debates and the opportunity for Americans to register now for the coming elections.
FIRED UP, READY TO GO follows Obama’s grassroots campaigners, and WE WUZ ROBBED by Spike Lee looks back at the race between Bush and Gore in 2000. The documentary CHISHOLM ’72 by Shola Lynch is being specially shown again for this occasion. In 1972 Shirley Chisholm, an Afro-American woman, already stood as candidate for the presidential nomination.
