Kongo Congo, a writer, is commissioned to write a novel about the Congolese community in Matonge, a borough in Brussels, where he resides. His editor wants a tourist guide, without any references to the past or the current political relations with Africa. Will Congo write his own story or that of his editor? Will it be “Juju Factory” or “Matonge Village”? Director Bakupa-Kanyinda sardonically questions the painful colonial history between Congo and Belgium and the loss of cultural heritage by Congolese migrants.
