Awero, old enough to get married, decides that Odejim is to be her husband. The dowry has been paid and the wedding date has been set. Suddenly a dark cloud, in the form of a horrifying secret, gathers over the proceedings. As a result the villages have a conflict. In these times women – traditionally best at reconciliation – are in need of courage the most. Kelani dedicates his film to women and proudly displays the Yoruba colours.
