Programma Change: Thurs 13 Sept commences 19.00 hrs in Rialto Cinema, Amsterdam.

Due to personal circumstances Newton Aduaka, director of the movie Ezra, unfortunately will not be able to participate in the Public interviews. Africa in the Picture offers an exciting alternative programme for the evening about the current evelopments in Sierra Leone and the consequences of the civil-waraftermath on daily life.

You can see the films on the big screen in Cinema Rialto on Saturday 8 Sept 21.30 hrs and Thuesday 11 Sept 21.45 hrs. From 13 till 19 September the short film Joki from Oud-West will be screened before the movie Gyspy Caravan. Music in Movies during the 10th edition of Africa in the Picture Film Festival

The programme of the 10th Africa in the Picture Film Festival, 6-16 September 2007 traditionally contains movies with a focus on music and musicians. Music movies with Moroccan hardrockers, Youssou N'Dour en American hiphop stars are shown in: Cinema Rialto Amsterdam, Lantaren/Venster Rotterdam, Filmhuis Den Haag, Chassé Cinema Breda, LUX Nijmegen en the Verkadefabriek Den Bosch. Cultura puts Africa in the Picture

From September 6 – 16 the 10th edition of Africa in the Picture will take place. Cultura is the Dutch Public Television’s digital theme channel. They have a 24 hour programming on art and culture programs. Nearly all the networks are affiliated with them. Cultura can also be watched online (www.cultura.nl).

Wednesday is Cultura’s film day, with its own film news (Cultura Film, starts up again on September 5), a feature film and usually a short film as well. The film news program has a big focus on film festivals, Dutch features and young talent.
