A Train Named Samba Un Train Nommé Samba

To honour the ancestors of Brazilian music and to keep the memories alive, the samba train leaves every year on December 2nd from platform 3 in Rio de Janeiro. Sylvie Bayonne descends from a Martiniquese mother and Congolese father. She founded the production company Matombi Productions which in 2004 created the documentary The Voice of Our Ancestors followed by A Train Named Samba a year later.
