Latina, Rome, and Their Family

Latina came into this world as a girl, Rome as a boy. Now adults, they raise a child within their extended family. A heart warming tale of two people born in the wrong bodies, who find a way to start a new life together amidst their African-American community. Latina Rome and their Family (2005), about an Afro-American family in Philadelphia is the film debut of student Ji Hoon Park. The young film maker distinguished himself during his studies with his project ‘Remembering a Haven from Shame: History and Memory of Seabrook’, for which he got rewarded.
