A gripping documentary about the complexities of life in Rwanda after the genocide. Death is still present in the hearts of the survivors and memories are literally everywhere. The filmmaker focuses on the personal accounts of those who look after the victim’s burial sites. Eric Kabera was born in Congo, where he studied psychology, pedagogy and law. He worked as a radio journalist for the BBC and heads the Link Media Production Company in Rwanda, where he also founded the Rwanda Cinema Centre. In 2004, he made the much-discussed documentary Keepers of Memory.
