Le Grand Voyage

Before he dies, Mustapha wants to undertake the holy journey to Mecca. He asks his son to accompany him and the two set out by car. As their 4500 km journey progresses, they try to overcome the distance between them. Ismaël Ferroukhi was born in Kenitra, Morocco. In 1992 he directed his first short film, L’Exposé. Next he co-wrote the script of Cédric Kahn’s feature film Trop de Bonheur (1994). Le Grand Voyage (2004) is his first feature film as a director.
