La Fabri_K: The Cuban Hip Hop Factory

La FABRI_K is a collection of talented, devoted and politically motivated Cuban rappers. We follow them on their memorable journey from ramshackle flats in Havana to a legendary performance at Harlem’s Apollo Theatre, where they play next
to Kanye West and The Roots. As independent film maker and producer, Lisandro Perez-Rey created various short films and documentaries about Cuba and immigration in America. His first film Más Allá del Mar (Beyond the Sea) was an instant success at international film festivals.
