Interactive debate, live via satellite, about the future of Congo with Congo! On the 30th of July 2006, the DR Congo held its first democratic elections in 45 years. Equating the size of western Europe, this wounded nation hardly has any infrastructure. Counting and checking the votes is a painstaking exercise. The new president of Congo will not be known until half November. Congolese film maker Petna Ndaliko made the documentary Raising the Flag about the recent elections.
